Sourdough and time
The dough rises for days. A sourdough starter is a natural mix of wild yeasts and bacteria — the dough is easier to digest and the crust gains its faint, pleasant tang.
A small pizzeria and taproom where the dough rises for days, the ingredients come from Italy and the beer from the brewery right above us.

Our story
We believe the best flavours are born where life slows down for a moment. Our dough rises slowly, under the gentle touch of time. The sourdough starter wakes it naturally and patiently, until it develops its softness, its airiness, its soul.
When the heat of the oven takes hold of it, the room fills with a smell that recalls a home kitchen and evenings when the world was simple and warm. This is not food you eat in passing.
Mali Grad is a place for good lunches, long evenings, beer tastings and every moment where good food and drink meet good company.
Come once for the pizza, and there is a good chance you will come back for everything else.

Mali Grad beers are brewed directly above the taproom, in Kamnik’s oldest brewery. Six styles on tap and more in bottles, from pale lager to black IPA.
Homemade, playful and aromatic. They don’t compete with the food, they give it a voice — a whisper or a bold statement, as the guest prefers.
